The Motorola H680 is a quite small black headset with metal accents. The bluetooth light is pretty small and dim, so it doesn’t give you the look of a reject from Star Trek as you walk down the street. The design is very effective as well, giving you four buttons that don’t draw much attention to themselves while still being accessible. Overall, the headset feels really solid for being so small and made of plastic, the only exception being the piece that wraps around the ear, which is fairly flexible but doesn’t feel very sturdy. Once it is actually on the ear though, you don’t really notice that minor deficiency. The ear bud is very well designed and feels quite natural in the ear, and the piece overall is very comfortable and isn’t cumbersome at all, giving you all day use without all day pain.

The headset’s incoming call quality is fantastic, I never had any trouble understanding what the other person is saying, and the quality was definitely higher than my test phones actual speaker. Outgoing though, it did sound distant, but was still quite clear. It was better than most, larger bluetooth headset I have tested, so I still have to compliment Motorola for making such a small piece that still picked up sound so well.

It has all the standard features: on/off switch, volume controls, voice dial, etc. Not really missing anything, but not really gaining anything new as far as functionality goes, but it does do it well in a small package. My only real problem is that you can plug in the phone directly, it has no way to plug a cable into it, instead you have to use the small cradle it comes with to charge, which is in turn powered by a micro-USB cradle. The cradle is very simple to use, but the headset would be even nicer if it wasn’t required.

In conclusion, his is a great looking, compact headset with good/great sound quality.
